Amor Fe Esperanza

I've mentioned the documentary that JJ has been working on since the beginning of my blog. And after a lot of hard work and sleepless nights, the documentary is finished!!

This coming Saturday is the premier. He will be showing the film to donors, family, and close friends. I feel really blessed that I've had a front row seat at the story that JJ is telling and the creative process which he has poured over these last two years. One small part of the premier this weekend will be selling some artwork. 100% of the proceeds will go to the school AFE (Amor Fe Esperenza.)

In the last couple months I've started to dabble a bit with photography and am actually going to sell some stationary of the pictures that I took while I spent a week with JJ in Honduras this fall. It has been really fun to create and actually very therapeutic.

Above is a little taste of my creations. Excited for what's in store.

Twenty Five

I turned twenty five yesterday. Twenty five. (Yikes!) When did that happen? It feels like just yesterday I got behind the wheel of the coolest '98 black volvo for the first time.

The last couple years I've been celebrating a handful of weddings over the holiday weekend and haven't been able to have any sort of birthday get together. This year was different. With Kate's help, I decided to throw a "breakfast for dinner" dinner party (Thank you pinterest!) with my closest friends. I think the best part of the night was being able to see so many people I love in one room. I couldn't stop smiling.

Here are some highlights from the celebration!

Hand-made rubber stamped invitations.

Make your own mimosa bar!
Choice of Orange (Tropicana), Pomegranate Limeade (Trader Joe's), or Orange Banana Pineapple Juice (Dole)... Add some champagne (or proseco) and fruit and call it a day.

The one long table was perfection. There really is nothing like sitting down together and sharing a meal.
It was fun to see it finally come together so well.

My family came to celebrate too. Aren't they a good looking bunch? I think so.
I also realized that the only pictures I've posted of myself I'm wearing stripes and a scarf.
I promise, I wear other things too.

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes.  I cannot tell you how loved and celebrated I felt yesterday. I've really got a lot to be grateful for.
